  1. A convex polyhedron that has 30 congruent rhombic faces, 60 edges and 32 vertices of two types (twenty 3-edge and twelve 5-edge) and is the Catalan solid dual to the icosidodecahedron.
    — By combining the twelve vertices of the icosahedron with the twenty vertices of the dodecahedron with the coordinates according to Eq. 6.4 and Eq. 6.5, we obtain 32 vertices of a rhombic body, the so-called rhombic triacontahedron (Fig. 6.39). It is bounded by 30 rhombi, hence the name. Triaconta is the Greek term for 30.
