  1. To produce a medial angulation of the distal segment of a bone or joint. transitive
    — The single segmental femoral head allograft measured 5 × 3 cm and was conical in shape. It was trimmed to have a firm press fit leaving the graft approximately equal to 1.5 mm proud. No fixation was employed (Fig. 2). A varizing proximal osteotomy was performed 6 months after allografting.
