湖南科技学院

湖南科技学院（Hunan University of Science and Engineering），坐落于素有“锦绣潇湘”之称的著名历史文化名城“竹城”——永州，是湖南永州市的最高学府，是湖南省“十三五”硕士学位授予单位立项建设单位（第三批）。 该校创建于1941年，前身为湖南省立第七师范学校，1971年创办专科教育，2002年由原零陵师范高等专科学校升格为本科院校——零陵学院，2004年更名为湖南科技学院。 截至2019年7月，学校建有16个教学学院，48个普通本科专业，面向全国28个省（市、区）招生。现有普通本科在校学生14810人，成人教育在校学生5000余人。现有教职员工近1200人。学校占地面积76.3万平方米，建筑面积45万平方米，教学仪器设备总值1.4亿元，图书资料107万册，固定资产总值7.3亿元。1941年，湖南省立第七师范学校建立；

1954年春，校址从道县搬至永州市零陵区杨梓塘社区；

1970年12月，零陵地区革命委员会委派工作组进驻原零陵师范学校，负责零陵地区师训班的筹备工作。

1971年5月，创办零陵地区师资培训班；

1976年11月，中共湖南省委批准建立湖南师范学院零陵分院；

1977年下学期，零陵分院招收了恢复高考制度后的首届新生110名，学制3年。

1979年5月，经零陵地委批准，零陵分院与零陵师范学校正式分家，零陵师范学校新建校址，原校址交给了零陵分院；

1981年7月11日，国务院正式批准成立零陵师范专科学校。张祖采任党委书记，刘坚一任党委副书记兼校长，赵国璋为副书记，李邦清、周祖盛、陈雁谷为副校长。该校占地面积为 75亩，建筑总面积为14337平方米，其中教学用房总面积为4700平方米；

1981年学校开设了中文、数学、物理、化学、英语5个专业，专任教师为110人，其中讲师为25人，招生357人。

1982年增开了历史专业，学制均为三年。1983年下期，增设了干部专修科，学制两年，招生420人。

1984年专任教师为158人，其中有讲师42人。该校占地面积为200亩，建筑总面积为32796平方米，其中教学用房总面积围8367平方米；

1985年2月，陈宏能任党委书记，罗尔康任党委副书记兼校长，杜方智任党委副书记，唐朝阔、黄裕民、胡显词任副校长，专任教师为146人，其中讲师43人；

1987年1月，湖南省委批准零陵师专由正处级建制升格为副厅级建制，胡显词改任纪委书记；

1989年8月升格后的领导班子组成，周嗣海任党委书记，罗尔康任党委副书记兼校长，杜方智、徐达福任党委副书记，唐朝阔、黄裕民、周云峰任副校长，胡显词任纪委书记；

1990年专任教师 为170人，其中副教授为34人，讲师为63人；

1991年12月唐朝阔任党委副书记，1992年1月任校长；

1993年7月，学校更名为零陵师范高等专科学校；

1998年4月管天球、佘国华任副校长，陈雄一任纪委书记，蒋璟萍任工会主席；

1999年5月，蒋璟萍任党委副书记。专任教师为208人，其中正高3人，副高47人，讲师90人；

2000年，专任教师为292人，其中正高12人，副高114人；

2002年5月，零陵师专升格为全日制普通本科院校零陵学院。

2002年10月零陵学院第一届班子成立。陈建民为学院党委书记，管天球为党委副书记、院长，谷明光为党委副书记兼纪委书记，唐艳明、欧小松、邓楠为副院长；

2004年7月，教育部同意零陵学院更名为湖南科技学院。
